Metaphysicians and other gurus also share the belief and the anticipation of this recent emergence of the new type of human they call Indigos. They are also referred to as Children of the New Millennium, Crystal Children, Children of Light, Golden Children, to mention a few.
The ufology community is conducting research into the extraterrestrial phenomenon experienced by children. Their explorations thus far have produced such terms as the New Humans or, more commonly, Star Children. The profiles of the Indigo children share the same attributes or are strikingly similar. They are highly intelligent, creative, psychic, telepathic and posses healing and clairvoyant abilities.
The Indigo children also share an inherent capacity to articulately express knowledge and awareness of deep spiritual concepts, historical, anthropological and scientific data, far beyond the capacity of even the most learned scholars, regardless of their age, level of cognitive development, education and numerous other pertinent factors. This confronting evidence has even captured the attention and interest of the Chinese government who are researching children who possess ‘exceptional human functioning’ (EHF), more commonly referred to as ‘China’s Super Psychics’.
Unfortunately, this research also suggests that these children are so different that they are often misunderstood and described as suffering from ADD (attention deficit disorder).
In this article we will explore the extraordinary qualities and states of consciousness demonstrated by the Indigo children and the inference of the emerging New Humans. Despite the plethora of information and supporting evidence, this phenomenon still manages to defy our logic and challenges our beliefs and yet it is scientifically supported.
Everything seems to suggest that humanity is on the verge of an evolutionary quantum leap. If we accept this premise, is it not plausible that the phenomenon related to extraterrestrial experience is equally valid and could offer a reasonable explanation for these developments?

The missing link in our evolutionary tree certainly indicates a primary intervention in our genetic make-up. If this is the case, then the New Humans may well have been orchestrated in a similar way with genetic upgrades in our DNA. But the present upgrade is so radical that it appears like an evolutionary jump start, hence the name the New Humans.

The changes are not known publicly, because the scientific community feels it would frighten the population. However, people are changing at the cellular level. I am working with three children right now who have three DNA helixes. Most people know and feel this. Many religions have talked about the change and know it will come about in different ways. We know it is a positive mutation even though physically, mentally, and emotionally it can be misunderstood and frightening.

BF: These are children who can move objects across the room just by concentrating on them, or they can fill glasses of water just by looking at them. They're telepathic. The last four decades or so has seen the tip of the iceburg of human evolution occur. The children coming through in large numbers, beginning with the Indigo Children in masses from the 1950s to 1990s, the Crystal Children from the 1990s onwards and more recently but in fewer numbers at this point in time, Rainbow Children (which we’ll talk about in another entry). Let us remind you, that all of these generations of children are a reminder of the great potential that exists within us all as we find our way to reconnect with Source; our Divinity and our connection to Spirit through an internal, inward journey shared with the world surrounding. Today, we’re going to highlight Indigo and Crystal Children and some of the ways which they represent generations of the evolving human race.
The influx of Indigo Children, saw an increase in the number of children being diagnosed with ADD and ADHD. What is it really? Is it a scientific or medical label given to children who are said to be hyperactive, inattentive, fiery tempered and trouble-makers? System-busters? Are we offered alternative perspectives on what really is at the truth of the matter here? These are the children who started coming to Earth with higher degrees of sensitivity to emotions, energies and chemicals, psychic and intuitive awareness, and a burning desire to maintain truth and integrity.
Indigo Children, being more intuitive, are open to receiving more information or channeling it, from non-physical origins in an energetic sense. They pay close attention to their feelings and trust them without a doubt. In a world of diagnosis, this could be seen as impulsivity, as their connection to their feelings, leads to doing things that they feel like. It also needs to be noted that an Indigo Child’s sensitivity to ingredients in foods, such as food colouring and sugar can create either a sedative or a stimulant effect, raising questions about their ‘inattention’ and ‘hyperactivity. Indigo Children understand their need for movement to detox and decrease their levels of stress. Whilst a child could seem to get bored easily or wiggle in their seat as an intuitive, automated response to these things, it could also be misinterpreted as a form of hyperactivity.
The 1990s saw the emergence of Crystal Children and interestingly enough, from this time onward, it also saw the emergence of a ‘worldwide epidemic’ of Autism and Aspergers. Without ruling out the existence of children along the ASD Spectrum, I would like to mention early on, that Crystal Children do not necessarily have Autistm or Aspergers, just as children on the Autism Spectrum do not always have to be Crystal Children. Part of the high incidence of this comes with what we are about to discuss.
Crystal Children are the next wave of children coming to Earth and they can be described as children with large round eyes, regardless of their race. They are very affectionate, very sensitive to emotions, energies, chemicals and foods, and they are highly psychic. Crystal Children love crystals and nature. Crystal Children can be a bit shy compared to their Indigo brothers and sisters, however you’ll know that you’re in the presence of a Crystal Child when you feel the pure, unconditional love that radiates from them. Being highly psychic, Crystal Children are often quite telepathic and may be late talkers, communicating with body language, grunts and their own noises if they need to communicate physically. Scientific communities do not even doubt the existence of telepathy anymore, however the problems arise when Crystal Children communicating through telepathy are not being heard by their parents and or carers. Late talking then warrants the need for a diagnosis by concerned parents and medical professionals, which has led to the increases in these cases. Autistic children may seem in their own world, carrying on with repetitive behaviours and they do not connect with others. Crystal Children on the other hand, are extremely affectionate.
We are witnessing the evolution of the human species here, as the generations being born are evolving in consciousness, demonstrating the existence and connection of Spirit within each and all of us. These children teach us things such as how to treat our bodies through nutrition, exercise and sunlight, and they remind us about our connection to each other, the inner and outer worlds, and the love that unites us all.
These children don’t need drugs, nor do they deserve disempowering labels or misinformation! They don’t need to feel like they don’t belong or they’re not important, nor do they need to feel like they are here to cause trouble or be a burden on society and the communities that they are a part of. Indigo and Crystal Children represent the great factors that make up who we are and what we are, and the impact that we can make on the world. As the Indigo Children pull out the old weeds of the past in corrupt, outdated models, the Crystal Children are here to plant seeds for the future and the direction that the world is heading in. In our next post, we’d like to explore what this means for educators in terms of Evolving Children, Evolving Consciousness and the need for Evolving Curriculum and Pedagogy.

In 2007, Dr. John Hawks, professor of anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, published an article in the peer-reviewed journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) titled “Recent acceleration of human adaptive evolution”. The study specifically looked for DNA sequence variation known as SNPs which are mutations at a single point on a chromosome. As indicated in Health and Medicine Week, “The researchers identify recent genetic change by finding long blocks of DNA base pairs that are connected. “Because human DNA is constantly being reshuffled through recombination, a long, uninterrupted segment of LD is usually evidence of positive selection. Rigveda, the earliest Hindu text mentions the Hiranyagarbha ("golden embryo") as the source of the creation of the Universe, similar to the world egg motif found in the creation myths of many other civilizations. It also contains a myth of the proto-Indo-European origin, in which the creation arises out of the dismemberment of a cosmic being (the Purusha) who is sacrificed by the gods.[1] As for the creation of the primordial gods themselves, the Nasadiya Sukta of Rigveda takes a near-agnostic stand, stating that the Gods came into being after the world's creation, and nobody knows when the world first came into being.[2] In the later Puranic texts, the creator godBrahma is described as performing the act of 'creation', or more specifically of 'propagating life within the universe'. Some texts consider him equivalent to the Hiranyagarbha or the Purusha, while others state that he arose out of these. Brahma is a part of the trinity of gods that also includes Vishnu and Shiva, who are responsible for 'preservation' and 'destruction' (of the universe) respectively.
Many Hindu texts mention the cycle of creation and destruction. The Shatapatha Brahmana states that the current human generation descends from Manu, the only man who survived a great deluge after being warned by the God. This legend is comparable to the other flood legends, such as the story of the Noah's Ark mentioned in theBible and the Quran.[3]
Some Hindu schools do not regard the scriptural creation myth as a literal truth, and often the creation stories themselves do not go into specific detail, thus leaving open the possibility of incorporating at least some theories in support of evolution. Some Hindus find support for, or foreshadowing of evolutionary ideas in scriptures.[4] For example, the concept of Dashavatara can be seen as having some similarities to Charles Darwin's theory of evolution.
In a survey of 909 people, 77% of its respondents in India agreed that enough scientific evidence exists to support Charles Darwin’s Theory of Evolution, and 85% of God-believing people said they agree with evolution as well.[5][6] According to the survey conducted by Pew Forum in the United States, 80% of Hindus agree that evolution is the best explanation for the origin of human life on earth.[7] However, in India, there were minimal references to Darwinism in the 1800s. Elements of Victorian England opposed the idea of Darwinism. Hindus already had present notion of common ancestry between humans and animals. The Hindu dharma believes that the gods have animal features, showing a theory that humans can be reborn again as animals or with their features.[8]

The Sanskrit epics of the Hindus mention several exotic creatures including ape-like humanoids.[30] Some Hindus see this as a proof of the historicity of their mythological characters and as support for the theory of evolution in their texts. The Ramayana speaks of the Vanaras, an ape-like species with human intelligence, that existed millions of years ago. However, according to the Ramayana alongside these ape-men existed modern humans.Thus, according to these ancient writings,the status of such creatures was a state of coexistence rather than evolution.This is in opposition to common descent which is accepted bymost scientists.

That being said, for those theists who take a position between 1 and 3 above it opens up a new book of difficult questions, perhaps even harder than the traditional problems of evil.
I have a list of 10 questions that popped into my head recently that I think highlight some of the problems of trying to incorporate theistic evolution with theistic beliefs. I wouldn't say the two are impossible to reconcile, but asking the following questions below to various theists has yielded a wide range of contradictory answers that I think theists should stop and try very hard to come up with definitive answers for.

- Did god say *poof* one day and man suddenly received a soul?
- Did the soul evolve and appear gradually?
- Was there literally one generation of human beings that had souls whose parents didn't?
- Did the soul come early in human evolution or late?
- If it came late, why did god wait tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of years to create the soul?
- What about original sin? How do we get original sin if there never was a literal Adam & Eve? I know that only Christianity has original sin, but if we don't have it, how do you make sense of Christian theology without it?
- If god gave man a soul suddenly and waited until late in human evolution to do it, that means that all the human beings who died before humans got their soul possessed the same cognitive functionality in order to consciously suffer as much as their descendants did who did have souls, and yet they were not compensated for the suffering they endured. How can this be reconciled with standard Christian or Islamic doctrine that basically says heaven compensates all the suffering that humans experience?
- What about animal suffering? Biology and neuroscience shows us that animals consciously suffer as most mammals have a prefrontal and neocortex. If animals consciously suffer and have no souls, why do they suffer and why isn't there suffering compensated? How could a wholly good god create beings who could consciously suffer and then just plan for them to die with no compensation to them?
- Why create human beings through a long slow process that involved numerous mass extinctions that caused millions of species to suffer and die who had varying levels of consciousness to experience this suffering?
